Dr. Roua Schmitz Joins Littler as Counsel in Munich

Littler Germany is pleased to welcome Dr. Roua Schmitz to its Munich office. Since August 2026, she has been part of the team as Counsel.

A certified specialist in employment law, Dr. Schmitz advises national and international companies on all aspects of individual and collective employment law. Her practice focuses particularly on complex restructuring and transformation projects as well as employment law support in corporate transactions.

In addition, she has extensive experience in strategic advice on collective employment law matters, particularly in the area of corporate co-determination. She also brings significant expertise in negotiating and drafting works agreements and collective bargaining agreements, as well as in the employment law structuring of transactions, carve-outs, and business transfers.

Before joining Littler, Dr. Schmitz worked at an internationally oriented commercial law firm, where she most recently served as Counsel and headed the Employment Law practice in Munich. Prior to that, she gained several years of experience at a leading employment law boutique in Cologne and Munich. During this time, she advised companies on a wide range of employment law matters, with a particular focus on complex restructuring projects, negotiations concerning reconciliations of interests and social plans, and the representation of clients in employment court proceedings.

Dr. Roua Schmitz has been admitted to the German bar since 2018 and has been a Certified Employment Law Specialist since 2022. She earned her doctorate from the University of Cologne, where her dissertation focused on the future of trust-based working time arrangements.
